Informed Care & Safety
At Luna Roots Massage, your safety and well-being are my highest priority. Establishing clear professional boundaries and understanding your health history ensures each session is therapeutic, respectful, and intentionally tailored to your needs. These agreements form the foundation of our partnership in your wellness journey.
Service Agreement
I serve Durham, NC exclusively with all-inclusive pricing, no upselling, and included tips. Please prep your quiet space and health forms. I reserve the right to end any session if safety or professional standards aren't met.
Preparation
Luna Roots is a mobile massage practice. Please provide a clean, quiet space of approximately 10 by 10 feet so the massage table can be set up safely and comfortably. A zero gravity chair may also be available when needed for comfort or accessibility.
The Session
All sessions are strictly therapeutic and professional. Clear boundaries help create a safe and respectful experience. Any inappropriate behavior, harassment, intoxication, unsafe environment, or boundary violation will end the session immediately at full cost.
Post-Care
After your session, take time to move slowly, drink water, and notice how your body responds. Mild soreness, increased relaxation, or changes in energy can happen after therapeutic bodywork. If you have questions after your appointment, you are welcome to reach out.
Safety & Contraindications
Informed consent and client safety are fundamental to the Luna Roots experience. Please review these medical conditions that may require us to postpone your session or require medical clearance for your safety.
Acute Infections & Fever
Massaging during an active infection or fever can stimulate the spread of bacteria or viruses throughout the body.
Cardiovascular Conditions
Uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent heart attack, or stroke requires medical clearance before therapeutic bodywork.
